This picture depicts Eve, the first woman, as she is unveiled to the world. The warm colours of the sun and day, the dawn of a new day, are depicted in the left top of the picture, which then contrast with the cool, night colours on the right top. This colour temperature swaps position for the middle of the picture. The pose is classical, the colours and design echo that of art nouveau. These are two pictorial aspects that interest me and I have been able to combine in this composition.
